High Tides
Dragged by the waves of sand
towards the sea, by the shore I now stand
pulled down by the currents of time
into a sea so vast it could never be mine

I can’t keep letting time drift away from me
Lay me down under blue skies
just like the sea, one day I’ll rise
Let me drown in the high tides
so I can let my soul untie
drawn by the waves of light
towards the sun, I am now ignited
seasons will drift and return
and the currents of time won’t cease to turn
