Plus Minus
Feebly I reach my mind to grasp the meaning of tomorrow
In this world we call reality, which confounds me to its very ends
It is something I will never understand
Still, I wish I could find a "point" to my existence

Rather than searching for a "reason (meaning)" for living here
I'll uncover the plusses of the passing "time (my heart and soul)"...
If I could call back those shattered words, those lost dreams,
It would surely be a plus... to who I am now.
I'm growing weary of these many thoughts, of arguing with myself
Every valid point tears my words to shreds
The truth is one of these... the dreams I chase one more
So I continue to pursue the "reason (meaning)" for living here.
Whenever I feel my heart starting to break, I hold those plusses close...
If I could call back those shattered words, those lost dreams,
It would be a plus within me.
I'm negative! I'm tied down, trapped, by the mistakes of the past
I'm negative! There's not a single thing I can do right
I'm negative! I can't understand how others see the world
I'm negative! I don't want to deal with most "others (humans)"
I'm negative! Why should I care about the "happiness" of anyone else?
I'm negative! All of my thoughts are contrary
I'm negative! There's nothing I have to look forward to
And a positive? I suppose tomorrow always comes... even for someone like me
