I left my place one night alone
just looking dazzling, gorgeous,
I know
A twinkle in my eye
and the clearest of smiles

The mirror winked
with bright red lips
left my place alone
I made it to that place, bit late
and caught the eagerness of my date
The fool was all but calm
and I sat with my charm
His nervousness
was, oh, so fresh
not seeing his fate,
He looked confused
while I just mused:
“I’m mad about you”
“I think it’s time to get the check.
Don’t stare at me, I am your dessert.”
The stars and Mary Anne,
plus the wine and his hand.
Who would have known?
I’m now back home,
