Borrowed Time
What do people see in dreams?
Do they see the places I have seen?
Where clean the air and sea blue-green
or do they know some other meaning?
Me I see a place where we
can live together happily
And show the people what real life means
and not the shit that’s on their tv screen

If only they would learn, how to touch the sun
As day by day the sky turns grey
please tell me where will all the children play?
There’s got to be another way
before the ground beneath us breaks
If we could only touch the sun
hands outstretched for everyone,
We could make each other see
what can happen when there is poetry
Because it ain’t my time, it’s your time,
It’s never their time, it’s our time
And we are all on borrowed time
we can’t take from our children what’s not yours or mine
we need to sit back unwind, appreciate the sunshine
don’t go polluting your mind, because it really isn’t wise to so
And we all know how it could go
if we carry on without control
Tides will rise and heads will roll
Because it ain’t my time, it’s your time,
It’s never their time, it’s our time
