They say that I'll be happy when I'm in the moment's arms
But I keep on falling for tomorrow's charms
I know it sounds appealing - it's just like the siren's song
But when she comes she'll already be gone

And my footsteps will fall where they may
They'd be better left to fade upon the roads of yesterday
If I keep failing for tomorrow's charms this way
I won't know the beauty of living here today
I ain't going back to yesterday to entertain my ghosts
I'm staying where my living shines the most
