Heavenly father, trust that we
May Thy love and glory see;
In this dark and gloomy hour
Thy eternal blessings shower.

When this dreadful sorrow's past,
Ne'er our hearts from Thee be cast,
To our Heavenly Home so sweet,
Cast our cares at Jesus' feet.
When we fall to Thee for grace
Father, may we see Thy face?
With deep grief, our hearts oppressed;
The departed are at rest.
Thou art still the sinner's friend;
Low before Thy Throne we bend,
If in health or in decay,
All from earth must pass away.
