A Change is gonna come
Was born by the river
in a little tent
and just like the river,
i’ve been running ever since
it’s been a long time coming
but i know a change is gonna come

but i’m afraid to die
i don’t know what’s up there

I go to the movie,
and i go downtown

Then i go to my brother and i say,
“brother, help me please”
but he winds up knocking me back

for long
But now i think
i’m able to
