Our glass
is half-full as we lie
side by side
upon the sand
beneath the sky
hourglass
sand falling too fast
let's lay it on
its side for
awhile

our glass
has been
turned on its side
the contents spilled
but it's still half-filled

turned upside-down
and the time is
running away
our glass
is half-empty
the sand is slipping through
the spaces in
