Love is more than a lover
a wife is more than a ring
drink all of your day's pleasure
let it bring tomorrow;s sting
a virgin's pride's gone out of style it seems
but i say style's out of itself

so don't let your wedding fade to gray
don't let what'll be back then lead you astray
for when we're no longer you and i
but us my proverb doll
a doll visits me in prayers
her heart's your house, you're her first love
she hangs on your everlasting word
she hangs her picture in my mind's hall
she's clothed in strength and dignity
she laughs at days to come
her love for Jesus is why she's beautiful to me
