Dirge
Remember that night we compared our height we had a bit to drink and laughed and smiled and said goodbye
we turned away not knowing that tomorrow would be the first day not to come
i close my eyes, awake to tears
i turn away, knowing today i bury a memory
could have been me out there in the street or it could have been you walking home with me
stop myself and stare a while into a dark hallway that once was light, blows my mind
everything change
