Hope

Hope
Before my body dies
I pray
That the river I was born to
May again wash over me
By God's touch I pray
That I may move from this consecrated
Earth
Into the next season
A dark season
Beyond the dying religions that
Seduced us
My soul will surrender
And give in to grace
