Whatever The Outcome
Things like this can't go on much longer,
but you say the pain will make us stronger.
A year and a half, and my heart's gone cold.
I can't see why the futures untold...
There's a sudden Dark,
and a flash of Light
that falls on my face
and brightens my eyes,
but it only lasts a minute
before I'm left in the rain
wondering what happened,
and why there's no pain.

Out of the Dark there comes a Light,
and I start to hope that I'll regain my sight,
but the path is still hidden and kept from me
when the Light burns out just before I can see...
